Planes and airports

Hey all!
Ok, just so you all know, I'm finding even more difficult to concentrate right now then usual. A nasty side effect of staying awake for over 24 hours straight. Yeah... my bad.
Anyways, at the mo it's 9.15 am on the 23, yes, Thursday. But wait for it! Right all my Aussie friends are enjoying first period on Friday! Gotta love time zone changes. So now I will officially have lived through the 23rd twice.
Yes, seeing as we've waiting for our third and final plane till we get to Florida, I will give you my own twist on surviving a 14 hour flight.

1. Get on plane and realise that the seats aren't nearly cramped as you remember.
2. Sit back and enjoy the take off from the window seat you stole off your sisters, only then notice the random lady in the isle next to yours watching you.
3. As soon the seat belt sign goes off, start watching movies.
4. After a few hours and two movies eat the lunch the flight provides and once again notice random lady watching, though now with added annoyance of sister next to you complaining, too loudly, about the smell of the person in front to them.
5. Many movies later, decide you can't put off using the bathroom any longer, then get freaked out the the dammed vacuum flush.
6. Finish yet another movie to realise that the crappy headphones are making your ears hurt. Steal good quality ones off dad.
7. Ignore parents suggestions to get sleep, and watch yet another movie.
8. Bribe sister into eating strange 'dinner' the plane gives you, smells like fish but the assure you it's chicken.
9. Watch more movies, even though you promised yourself you'd get some sleep.
10. As sun rises outs realise you didn't sleep at all, shrug and eat weird pancakes they give you for breakfast.
11. Now that plane has landed you discover few other family members got any sleep. Discover this is particularly true for youngest brother, who didn't drink enough either, and proceeded to throw up just outside the plane.
12. Nickname brother spinach boy, as brussel sprouts kid doesn't sound as good.

Yeah. You gotta love Link. I tried to claim no relation, but thinking back on it, I've done the same thing when I was young, so yeah. Perhaps more relation then previously expected.

Well, have fun!!

So... You're a orange

Right, so today I thought I'd like to point out that most of my friends and family are incredibly let say... patient with me. I must admit I think I am on occasion slightly... eccentric?
So, seeing as I've discovered people love reading about themselves, I'll explain to you the reasons behind their need for patients.

Hazel-

I'll start with my direct family members, and seeing who Hazel is the one who usually cops most of my intense laughing fits at home, I will give this paragraph to her. I'm slowly coming to realise that each of my family have a different default setting for each situation. For most of my family these setting don't interact with each other much so there is no problem; but unfortunately for Hazel most of the situations that make me rather prone to laughing fits, are the ones that make her incredibly sarcastic, not a good mix. This means that I usually end up curled up in a ball on the flour from laughing so hard, and all she dose is make it worse with her sarcastic remakes about my stupidity for finding her funny. The rest of my family have to suffer similar things, though not quite to the same degree as Hazel, and I think she's possible the most patient about it.

Leslie-

I have some of my most... interesting conversations with or around Leslie, and most of the time she simply laughs along with me or in other cases tries (and usually fails) to shut me up. A few occasions in particular spring to mind, one was around last week. We were sitting in the library trying to figure out a new idea for a short story when the libraries effect on us kicked in. From what I remember there was a long conversation about angles and demons, starting with me trying to turn the hand sign with devil horns into a halo, and ending with me using my left and right hand to represent different beards, left was a goatee as that's what the devil has and right being a 'manly beard'. Leslie found with quite amusing and we both annoyed Gwen with our immaturity as she tried to read some book.
The second occasion was in the fiction section of the library, the area that I think has possible double the effect the rest of the library has on us. To be honest I think both of us were in quite normal moods, that was of course until Hazel came over. She proceeded to give me as sticker that she claimed resembled me, the picture was that of an elephant. When I asked what she was implying Leslie said, with a straight face, that she was referring to my great memory. After this I remember little as I was laughing so hard and rolling on the floor.
The last thing I think I will mention is the only three things we argue about. The first is religion, Leslie claims there is nothing after death, while I argue there is, though not necessarily what religions say. We argue about this for extended periods and never come to any conclusion, and she won't accept any compromises.
The second is our break up, seeing as everyone seems to be married to everyone else these days Leslie and I recently went through a messy break up. We usually attempt to blame each other for said break up, and I'd like to take a moment to say that, Leslie you did throw my CDs across the flour and I didn't do it to your heart. If I had, you'd be dead.
The last and the most important, life changing and deep argument we have is, the 10th doctor against the 11th. David Tennant Vs Matt Smith. Although we have reached a compromise I got style she got personality, we still debate this topic because Floppy Haired Guy could never amount to DT. Sorry Leslie, but I win.

Vyvyan-

Possible the most eccentric of my friends, in a rather different way to the rest of us too. When together I usually find myself laughing at the clumsy things she dose instead of what I did. It's somewhat refreshing I must say. If worked up enough the two of us can laugh for some time, or laugh at each other for some time, both work quite well and be help amplify each other :). Also, I rarely find myself on the receiving end of any of the violence that Vyvyan tends to direct at Leslie. I am not sure weather to take this as a good or bad thing sometimes, though I appreciate it as I bruise myself enough playing tennis.

Gwen-

Gwen dose far more receiving randomness rather than dishing it out. Most of the other people I know give at lease some of what they take, this is far less the case to Gwen. Usually the levelheaded one in the group, she tends to role and sigh when one of the rest of us do something less then graceful. This is not to say she is without randomness, it's just that she is far more in control of hers. In most cases (especially when any of our group are beyond reasoning) she smiles and nodes, usually accompanying this with a 'yes (insert name here), of coarse.'.

Drazil-

I have referred to this particular being by his/her (I'm actually not sure) real name, and I don't see any point in hiding it, he (I'll refer to his as a boy as that's what I think he is, though I'm just as likely to be wrong) will probably never know as he's a blue tong lizard and, to the best of my knowledge, can't read. At this exact moment he is wondering around is rather over sized cage (note- he is still technically a baby and has a great deal of growing to do) and eating. Now this may seem like a completely normal thing to do and it is, the only odd thing is he has a small pile of the dirt/bark stuff that covered the bottom of his cage, on his head. Yes it seems even my pet lizard finds it necessary to try and use camouflage in an attempt to hide from me on occasion. *sigh*

Hope you enjoyed my appreciation of patient people, I am more than aware that I've barely mentioned any of the other people who equally deserve a paragraph or two, but seeing as it's getting late and I'm a lazy person, I'll leave it till the next time some pesters me into writing again to mention them. Terribly sorry for the inconvenience, but I'm always open to bribes to get the next post done ;).
